Morphology was the title of the chair-exhibition by The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art, Schools of Architecture/Design at the Lambrete Venture, Milan 2014. The idea of project was to represent a collection of chairs made by the furniture students at the school. It was a collaboration between spatial and furniture designers and architects. The logotype was based on a shape or symbol made out of two hexagons. Merged together the two hexagons create the sense of a new shape or a visual interpretation of a box.
The furniture students were working in order to morph and combine upholstering with principals of the traditional Danish stick chairs. Therefore I decided to focus on the construction of the typography as sticks morphed into letters. At the same time the final name/logo is also putting the letters into a relationship where the O´s have a morphing connection in the spatial feeling in between each other.
