“Rumlig Orientering” (In English Spatial Orientation) is the name of a small-scale publishing house that works with printed matters in visual art, design, architecture and photography combined with various cross-cultural and social related areas. The spacing of the logo and its missing letters represent the relationship between space and orientation. The missing letters creates a visual air and spatial ability, while their absence complicates readability. The two words are divided into two lines. The words face each in order to create balance between ‘Spatial’ and ‘Orientation’. This shows the cohering between the two words and how they belong together in a lin-guistic undestanding. At the same time the underline and their associated “air holes” or spaces sharpens the reader’s visual orientation about the meaning of the two words.
